Recommended Plugin

This theme works well with the following plugin:

  1. WP-PageNavi – Provides a clean, numbered navigation.

Theme Features

  1. FlickR and Twitter support. Just add your FlickR ID or if you do not have an account with FlickR, then you may use public photos. Just add the keywords (eg. nature+waterfall or roses+colorful) and you are good to go. As for Twitter, just add your username or your friends username and you will be able to see their twits. You may set the number of twits you want to see with the default is set at 5.
  2. Better Recent Posts and Recent Comments. This feature is an improvement over the default version in WordPress. Thumbnail is generated automatically with the title and alt tag remain unchanged/preserved.
  3. A mini About Me section on the sidebar with support for thumbnail. You can write a small description that may be of interest to your visitors.
  4. Built in support for third party ads like Adsense or Adbrite. You may place 3 250px by 250px ads. One on the sidebar and 2 after each post.
  5. Support for 125px ads. You may put as many 125px button ads as you like on the sidebar.
  6. Related Tags, Related Categories, Next Post and Previous Post section allows your visitors to get more from your blog with minimal effort. This may also help to increase the relevance of you single blog post.

Requirement

So far, i have only tested it with WordPress version 2.8.4 and above and i do not see any problems. If you are using version 2.8.3 and lower, please upgrade your wordpress as there is a serious security problem. Upgrade to save yourselves a lot of trouble. Works well in IE7 and above. All modern browsers are fully supported.

    Hi, I am from China. It is your theme in my website. Excuse me, how can I change “About ME Sample Title ”

    I do not know to change this . and How to change this?

    Thanks ahead !
    Best wishes
    Sincerely yours
    Sinm Lee

  9. admin:

    Hi Sinm Lee,

    I guess you figured that out. For everyone else, you can go to the settings page Admin → Dojuniko Settings → About Me section. You can change the default title and click save.

  10. Thomas:

    I am using your theme DOJUNIKO which I think is fantastic! The only problem I have is how do you get the two 250X250 ads under each post?
    I see the text and where it goes, but where is the place you insert the code or image?
    Thanks, You rock!

  11. admin:

    Hi Tom,

    You will need to go to the Admin page → Appearance → Editor. Then select the Ads.php file and paste your code based on the location you want the ads to display. Then, click save.

  12. icecube168:

    i have use this theme , i can say that is well designed and flexible to use via setting page thanks

  13. Joshua:

    Your theme looks and functions great. It is perfect for my site. Thank you.

    Question: How can I get the search bar to attached to my adsense account? I tried setting like the example, but it issues an error page when trying to search. “Bad Request Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request”

  14. admin:

    I guest you figured it out. You just need to place your adsense publisher account number in the settings page and select enable ads.

  15. Alexander:

    Thank you very much for this theme! My students love it.

    I have one problem, i cant change the name of “recent comments” for some reasons. Would like to have it in german….

  16. admin:

    Hi Alexander,

    I have uploaded the latest version on my website. Please download the latest file and it will solve the problem. The new version is v1.25 and includes a french translation. You can help to translate the theme to German version by simply downloading the PoEdit file and install the program. In the theme folder, open up the ‘lang’ folder and open the file default.po.

  17. Joshua:

    Thank you very much.
    Two more questions: Is there a way to shrink the amount of blank green space at the top of the page (above the very well designed menu bar)?
    Can I put a photo (or logo) in header? Next to or in place of the title of the blog?

  18. admin:

    First question: Yes. Open up the style.css file and go to line 42 or find anything that starts with ‘.menubar’. The margin is:70px auto 0 !important. Change 70px to anything you like.

    Second question: No. You can add your picture on the sidebar under the ‘About Me’ section or on your blog ‘Joshua Bevan’. You can replace the image of your hand to your profile picture. Image is automatically re-sized to 75px by 75px.

    Also, i would appreciate it if you can add a link back to my website for credits.

    Any questions, just post here.

  19. Nitin B:

    Thanks for providing a wonderful Theme , which is vibrant in colors and use of green attracted me a lot.
    I am novice in CSS so could not figure out if I can change the width of main page.
    Like the menu bar appears on right side, I would like to shrink it a bit so that my Flickr gallery can be displayed properly.Here is the link of that http://rudyjigs.com/?page_id=7

    Regards

  20. Jenn V.:

    I love your theme. It was exactly what I was looking for, THANKS! Question: I opted to use the ‘About Me’ section in the Dojuniko Settings. I have just a bit of text, but the box remains huge in my sidebar (with lots of blank space). Is there a way to fix this? Thanks again!

  21. Jenn V.:

    And one more… In that same ‘About Me’ box, is there a way to show separate paragraphs? THANKS!

  22. admin:

    Hi Jenn,

    That extra space is for your ads code. Go to Dashboard → Appearance → Editor. Then select ads.php file and paste your google ads in the right spots. Spots for ads include:

    1. Sidebar, just after About Me section. Size 250px by 250px

    2. After each post, left side. Size 250px by 250px

    3. After each post, right side. Size 250px by 250px

  23. admin:

    Try pressing ‘enter’ key. If that does not work, then try adding the following code:

    <br />
    <br />

    in the place you want to add a new paragraph.

  24. admin:

    Just another note, you may want to resize your About Me picture to 75px by 75px using an image resizer. Right now, the image is 4000px by 3000px. It looks small because it is scaled using CSS. Smaller image speed up loading and reduce server load.

  25. Jenn V.:

    Thanks for all the tips AND such a speedy reply. REALLY appreciate it!

  26. kippen:

    heay man awesome theme. I have the some problem with the Google search option. when I fill in my pub ID and enable ads, I still get a bad request when I test the search box. thanks again, I am by the way thinking about translating the theme into Dutch.

    cheers,

    martijn

  27. admin:

    I’m not sure why you will get the error as it worked before (I don’t have Adsense). Maybe Google have changed the requirement. Anyway, you can just copy Google’s search code and paste it. Go to Dashboard → Appearance → Editor and select sidebar.php file. Find the following code:

    <form class="searchform" action="http://www.google.com/cse" method="get">
    <input name="q" type="text" class="searchbx" size="" value="Type here to search..." onfocus="if (this.value == 'Type here to search...') {this.value = '';}" onblur="if (this.value == '') {this.value = 'Type here to search...';}" />
    <input type="submit" class="searchbutton" name="sa" value="GO" />
    <input type="hidden" name="cx" value="<?php print get_dojuniko_option('dojuniko_adsenseid'); ?>" />
    <input type="hidden" name="ie" value="UTF-8" />
    </form>

    and replace it with your Adsense Search code.

  28. Jenn V.:

    Thanks for your theme and help in the past!

    Suddenly, all of the non-post text on my page is in italics: the ‘About Me’ box, all my text widgets, comments after the posts, etc. I have no idea how this happened! Any clue?

  29. admin:

    Hi Jenn,

    I think the problem started after your “Hey Good Lookin’..” post. Can you try to un-italic the post title? The problem starts as the next and previous post preview did not correctly remove the html tag <em>. When the script trim the title, it didn’t close the tag, so everything after that will be italic. If that didn’t solve the problem, leave a comment here.

  30. Jenn V.:

    Yes, that helped me figure it out. THANK YOU!!!

  31. Jenn V.:

    Is there a way to enable commentors to get a notification of answers or follow-up comments? Thanks again for all your help!!!

  32. admin:

    Hi Jenn,

    You can try this plugin. There will be a checkbox for ‘notify me of followup comment via email’. Commentors will be able to check this box and receive follow up email.

  33. Nazeem:

    Hi. I`m trying out this nice theme. I have the problem where when aading a widget e.g Rss then the title bar background is white and the text as well. And the widget below that the title bar is white with green text but the content in the box is white background with white text. This way it appears as blank spaces. How do I change the font or background colours in the boxes of widget.

  34. Nazeem:

    Was just wondering if my comment was received?

  35. admin:

    Hi nazeem,

    Whats your website url?

  36. Kathee:

    I have a problem. Everything was working fine, then on Saturday, I messed around adding, testing, and removing various widgets/plugins and think I messed something up.

    When I create a blog post it shows up in the editor but will not show up in the preview. Everything in the template shows (sidebar, previous post, next post, etc.) but the actual text will not.

    Here is an example… http://bit.ly/nDwIAI.

    Once I post, its pretty much the same … the entire post will show up on the main blog page, but not when you click on the post to open it individually.

    Any idea what I did to screw it up?

    P.S. I LOVE this design — and so does my client!!

  37. admin:

    Hi Kathee,

    Looks like actual post is missing but on category and homepage, post is visible. You may have accidentally deleted some of the codes. You can re-install Dojuniko or just update 1 file, which is the single.php file. You can use the download button above and download the files, unzip it and find single.php file. Upload it to your website and i think problem should be solved. You can also email me using the info below:

  38. Kathee:

    Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This worked perfectly!

    Bless you.

  39. admin:

    Kathee, Im glad it solved your problem.

  40. Eric:

    I am trying to get this to work properly and it does not seem to be going well. When I click on comments it goes to a 404 error page. When I click on the pages at the top it again goes to a 404 error page. Any of the links on the sidebar goes to a 404 error page. Not sure what I did wrong but apparently something

  41. admin:

    Hi Eric,

    Looks to me like all links except for your login page don’t work. This could be your rewrite or permalink structure. Do this:

    1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Permalink
    2. Select Default and then press the Save Changes button.
    3. Test out the links on your blog.
    4. If everything is ok, then go back to the Permalink page and select other options and click Save Changes. You need to reset your permalink structure.

  42. Joe Giannelli:

    Hi,
    How do I remove or delete the next page/ previous page links on the bottom of each page?
    Thank you

  43. admin:

    Hi Joe,
    This is what you need to do:

    1. Go to Dashboard → Appearance → Editor
    2. Select index.php file
    3. Find this code:
    <div class="navigation">
    <div class="alignleft"><?php next_posts_link(__('« Older Entries','dojuniko')) ?></div>
    <div class="alignright"><?php previous_posts_link(__('Newer Entries »','dojuniko')) ?></div>
    </div>

    4. You can just delete it and save the file. You can do the same for Archive.php file.

  44. Joe Giannelli:

    Hi,
    Thanks for getting back to me so fast. I really appreciate it. I followed your directions and deleted the code in both the index.php and archive.php but the links to previous page and next page are still on the bottom of each page.

    Any other ideas on what to do to delete those links. Thanks again for your help.

  45. admin:

    Hi Joe,

    Are you referring to the next and previous post after each post? If so then you need to do this:

    1. Go to Dashboard → Appearance → Editor
    2. Select comments.php file
    3. Find this code:
    <?php global $wpdb;
    4. Find this code as well:
    <div class="clearit"></div>
    5. Delete everything between those two lines of code, including those codes as well. Save file and you should be ok.

  46. Joe Giannelli:

    Hi,
    I’m referring to the next and previous “page” boxes on the bottom of each page, not post. I’d like to remove those boxes/ links. Plus when I click on blog in order to go to my posts the right hand sidebar is shifted below everything on the bottom of the page. Is there a way to fix this? My site is teamdeepak.com (username and password to access is the word: “power”) in case you want to see what I mean.
    I just donated some money using the paypal link above as a thank you for your help and the work you’ve put into the theme. I hope you received it. Thanks again,
    Joe

  47. Joe Giannelli:

    It worked! Thank you. The next and previous page links are gone.
    So the only other thing that I need to fix is what I was describing about the right sidebar on the “blog” page being shifted down below the list of posts.

  48. admin:

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for the donation.

    First of all, I can’t see the problem, when i’m logged in and as a guest with both Firefox and IE 7. If you still see the problem, you need to email me the exact url and tell me what browser you are using. You can use this:

    I think one of the membership plugin you used hijacked the footer section and footer section simply got cut off. Not a problem. You can fix it using the steps below:

    1. Go to Dashboard → Appearance → Editor
    2. Select style.css file
    3. Paste anywhere on the page the following code, best position is at the bottom of the page and make sure you press the enter button a couple of times to separate old code and new code:

    #footer {
    background: url("images/img.png") no-repeat 0 -40px;
    height: 100px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    width: 990px;
    }
    #footer p {
    color: #000000;
    font: italic 116.7%/128.6% Georgia,serif;
    height: 18px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 45px 0 0;
    text-align: center;
    width: 900px;
    text-transform: capitalize;
    }
    img#wpstat {
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto;
    }

    4. Save the file and you are done.
    5. When you view your website, make sure to press the ‘refresh button’ or F5 on your keyboard and it will force your browser to fetch a new copy of your style.css file and re-display the page.

    I will be online in the next a couple of hours, just email me so i can solve your problem fast.

  49. Julie:

    hi! I tried to email you but it didn’t go through, I wanted to know if you can Use the theme backgrounds for a website thanks

  50. admin:

    Hi Julie,

    Absolutely. You can use it for anything you like.
